In ancient times “Starka” was made in order to honour the first-born son, the successor of the family name. The taste of the traditional bitter of 43% alc/vol. “Vilniaus Starka” is obtained from the leaves of apple and pear trees, and from linden blossoms. The taste of 8-year-aged brandy and wine dominates in the drink. The bitter is filtered three times, that is why it is so mild and harmonious. It is probably the only “Starka” in Lithuania which is still produced strictly following the original recipe.
The bitter is available in flat bottles for your convenience.
